This year, the adult high school's designation went from a "program" to an actual school, administrators said, and any late graduates now count against the district's graduation rate.
"Even though it counts negatively as far as our data, (the adult high school) is still helping kids," Dr. [Jim Scales] said. "It's a hit we're willing to take.""It's one thing we continue to address," he said. "If you're working toward the top, all students will eventually raise up.""There's been a shift in culture at our school," he said.
